Throughout my life, I've learned that real change doesn't come from the top - it comes from the grassroots level. It's about rolling up your sleeves, getting your hands dirty, and working tirelessly for the community. This race is not about photo ops and glitz, it's about the real work that needs to be done for our district.
I've spent more than two decades in the private sector, I personally understand the struggles and triumphs we face everyday in Northern Virginia with trying to make ends meet.
Unfortunately, the elite in the Republican party have chosen to run a candidate a partisan far right out of touch individual who has lived a life of glamour, far removed from the realities of those struggling to pay rent or put food on the table.
In response to my commitment to the people, not the party, they've chosen to run a primary against me. But I am not deterred. I am not beholden to the elite, nor the party. I am beholden to you, the voters of the 8th District.
I know what it feels like to work overtime to make ends meet. I know what it's like to rely on public transportation. I know the struggles high taxes and cost of living has been as a resident of Herndon since 2004! I believe in a moderate approach that can unite Democrats, Republicans, and Independents in our district because I've seen firsthand the strength that comes from unity and understanding.
Whether you identify as a Democrat, a Republican, an Independent, or not politically inclined at all, you are a Virginian. And I am committed to representing you in all your diversity and strength.
